Training

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County believes education and training is one of our best defenses against those who seek to harm children. The CAC’s team delivers high-quality training for professionals working in the field of crimes against children, mandated reporters, parents, and the community at large. Our in-person and tele-education addresses a gap in the community for all-inclusive child abuse training. Training programs offered include:

  • D2L: Darkness 2 Light
  • Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse, for all staff and volunteers
  • Child Abuse Protocol Training
  • Answering the Call- Best Practice for Responding Officers

We understand that we need more adults educated on how to recognize and report child abuse and how to keep children safe in the real and digital world. All of our trainings are available for free. Please check our Facebook page @caclowndes to find when the trainings are being offered or email Teresa.Wright@caclowndes.org to schedule a training for your group.
