Support Services for Children & Families

At the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County, we are committed to meeting not only the emotional needs of children and families we serve, but also their everyday practical needs. Thanks to generous community support, we are able to offer several resources:

24/7 Food Pantry

Our food pantry is available anytime, day or night, to anyone in need of a helping hand. Located on our front porch, the pantry was donated by the Greater Valdosta United Way, our valued impact partner. It is regularly stocked by United Way, our Board of Directors, local schools and churches, and caring community members who step in to fill the gap.

Clothes Closet

Families currently receiving services at the CAC have access to our Clothes Closet. If you have a clothing need, simply let our Advocacy Team know, and we’ll work to provide what your family needs.

Buddy Bags

Every child who comes to the CAC for a forensic interview receives a Buddy Bag – a comfort pack filled with essentials like toiletries, socks, undergarments, crayons, body safety items, and a cuddly stuffed animal. These small items make a big difference in helping children feel safe and cared for on a difficult day.

You Can Help Fill the Gap

Every can of food, pair of socks, or stuffed animal makes a difference for a child and family in need. Our Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, and Buddy Bag program are powered by the generosity of people like you.
