The holidays can be a difficult time, especially for children living in the aftermath of abuse. Each year, the Children’s Advocacy Center brings a smile to over a hundred of our clients’ faces when we provide them with gifts and toys through our annual Christmas for the Kids program. This is our 20th year, and we are proud to be able to continue this tradition for the families we serve.
This year, each child will receive not only the gifts they want but also the things they need. There are several ways to sponsor a child in need this Holiday season:
- Request a Wish List – Complete the sponsor form here or email Morgan.Griffin@caclowndes.org & request information on donating. You will then receive a child’s profile, wish list, and instructions on how to proceed.
- Monetary Donation – Individuals/Organizations can sponsor a child by making a tax- deductible contribution, which the Children’s Advocacy Center will use to purchase the gifts for a child in need. Contributions may be mailed in with the sponsor form and a check made payable to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County. (Please specify the donation is for Christmas for the Kids.) You can also text CACMAGIC to 44-321 to donate through text-to-give.
- New Gift Donation – Individuals/Organizations may also donate new gifts from our list on Amazon here. New gift donations may be brought to the Children’s Advocacy Center located at 3325 Skipper Bridge Road, beginning December 2nd through December 13th. In an effort to ensure we are available to receive donations, please call the CAC (229) 245-5362 when you arrive, and a staff member will come out to our vehicle to help bring the donations inside.
The Board of Director’s and Staff of the Children’s Advocacy Center would like to thank you for your generosity and continued support, and we wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
