“Make New Friends and Keep the Old” – for each and every one is gold! The success and livelihood of the CAC in 2016 is a direct result of efforts from community partners and caring individuals who recognize the importance of providing services to vulnerable children in South Georgia, keeping alive an atmosphere of hope and healing, and providing these services free to children and their families. Funds raised from individuals, public and private organizations and fundraising events provide for therapeutic supplies (games, books, art supplies, etc.), expansion of programs (group therapy, education & awareness efforts, and new therapy methods). The costs for these items, of course, increase in correlation to the growing number of children seen at the CAC. With the efforts of a compassionate friends we look forward to continuing our mission in 2017. Our sincere thanks to our local United Way, Rite Aid, Black Crow Media, VSU Kappa Deltas, Barnes Healthcare Smith Drug and Moody AFB; the Knights of Columbus, Azalea City Civic Club, Valdosta Police Department, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department and Books-A-Million; the Homebuilders Association, Valdosta Junior Service League, Quota Club and Y-Lead Kids; Valdosta North Rotary, Rotary Club of Valdosta, Exchange Club, Georgia Power and AT&T; and many, many generous individual donors. Many thanks also to those who donate toys, games, and office supplies on a regular basis. Our children are truly fortunate to have such true friends.
